Registration Procedure

  • Currently Enrolled Students: Print out Tuition Bill (Web Information System)) → Pay at designated bank
  • Returning Students: Register as Returning Student at Web Information System → Confirmation of Approval → Print out Tuition bill → Pay at designated bank

Note

  • Scholarship Recipients should receive a Tuition bill with the appropriate reduction
  • Full Scholarship Recipients should also register at a bank to avoid incomplete registration.

Leave of Absence

Subject

  • Institution’s Currently Enrolled Student or International Student

Time Period

  • 4 Weeks before and 4 weeks after every semester
  • Only after freshman year 2nd Semester

Required Documents

  • Statement of Reasons for Leave of Absence, Alien Registration Card, Passport, Flight Ticket (For D-2 and D-4 Visa Holders)

Note

  • The maximum length for Leave of Absence is 3 years and cannot exceed more than 4 requests.
  • To extend the length of Leave of Absence, re-submission of the request documents should be completed before the expiration date.
  • After semester starts, students wanting to take the Leave of Absence must do so after paying the tuition fee
  • Student who is taking a Leave of Absence must leave the country within 30 days from the request date.
  • Upon departure, Alien Registration Card must be returned at the Immigration Gate
  • Students wanting to continue their stay in Korea after taking the Leave of Absence must change their Stay Status
  • In order to re-enter Korea as a returning student, a new D-2 Visa must be obtained

Reissuance of Study Abroad (D-2) Visa Procedure after obtaining Return Approval

  • [International Students_ except Chinese Students]
    • Enter Korea after obtaining Study Abroad (D-2) Visa from the Diplomatic Office of the mother country.
  • [Chinese International Students]
    • Request D-2 Visa after obtaining Certificate of Visa Issuance
    • Visa Issuance Procedure
      • International Student Advisor requests the Visa Issuance at the Immigration Office → Receive Certificate of Visa Issuance (Number) → Student requests Visa Issuance at his/her country’s Diplomatic Office→ Visa Issuance→ Entry→ Re-Issuance of Alien Registration Card (Within 90 days)

Note

  • Student must submit all documents regarding Certificate of Visa Issuance by beginning of January/July because the Issuance takes 2 months.

Graduation

Graduation (Course Completion) Criteria

  • Total of more than 130 Credits (School of Law·Marine Corps Military- 140 Credits, Architecture- 165 Credits, Pre-Dentistry- 80 Credits, Medicine – 175 Credits, Dentistry – 170 Credits, Pharmacology – 167 Credits) is required. Students must obtain fixed required credits accordingly from the mandatory courses (general & major) set for each class.
  • For students admitted under Special Admission Procedure, Level 4 on the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) must be achieved. International Affair students are exempt from this requirement.
  • Students who are admitted under Special Admission Procedure are exempt from completing volunteering and English Graduation Certification

Postponement of Graduation

  • Subject
    • Students who have obtained all credits but have not completed their graduation thesis (exam) or have not received graduation approval.
  • Method
    • Request for Postponement of Graduation by choosing 9 semesters of enrollment or completion
  • Classification
    • Postponement of Graduation (Enrollment): Status of an enrolled student is continued and tuition fee rate is paid accordingly by the class registration credit
    • Postponement of Graduation (Completion): Tuition is paid after changing student status to a ‘Completer’ from a prospective student with an outstanding course registration
