Established in 1947 along with the founding of the university, the Dankook University flag aligns with the philosophical ideals of Hongik Ingan—the principle of benefiting all humankind.

Centered on the English initials “DKU,” the design features a dynamic orbit of light, symbolizing movement, growth, and global connectivity.
The rotating orbital path surrounding DKU reflects the university’s unity of purpose and its unwavering commitment to education, philosophy, and shared values, embodying Dankook University’s spirit of harmony and forward momentum.
