Program Features

School of Global Core Education, established in 2025, aims to cultivate international students who can achieve high academic success at Dankook University through the understanding and application of the Korean language. All international students who enter through the Korean language track will be part of the School of Global Core Education for one year before advancing to their specific major fields.

To effectively enhance international students' Korean language proficiency, the college offers two courses based on the levels of the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK). For students who do not hold a TOPIK Level 4 certificate, the college provides courses ranging from beginner to intermediate levels, aiming to improve communication skills in Korean and build a foundation for taking the TOPIK exam. For students who already have a TOPIK Level 4 or higher, advanced Korean language courses and university-level Korean classes are offered to help them achieve a higher level of proficiency and academic success.

Education Goals

The primary educational goal is to enable international students to live in Korea and communicate smoothly in Korean with professors and peers. The secondary goal is to improve students' Korean language proficiency through a structured and intensive curriculum, providing a foundation for achieving success in major courses conducted in Korean.
