The Department of Acting and Filmmaking is an exclusive program designed for international students, established to meet the growing interest and demand from students worldwide for the Korean visual media industry. As Korean films, dramas, and K-content continue to gain global recognition, positioning Korea at the center of the international visual media industry, this department serves as a platform where students from around the world can experience Korea’s advanced visual industry firsthand. Through this program, students will acquire practical expertise in acting and visual production, enabling them to build a competitive edge in the global media content market. Upon graduation, students will have the opportunity to pursue careers not only in Korea but also on international stages, gaining diverse professional experiences in the industry.
The Department of Acting and Filmmaking aims to cultivate professional actors and visual content creators who can thrive across various digital media platforms, including theater, film, broadcasting, and OTT services. To achieve this, the curriculum is designed to incorporate a diverse range of acting styles, blending traditional theater and film acting with cutting-edge techniques such as broadcast acting, musical theater, and motion capture performance. In addition to acting, students will develop comprehensive skills in film and media production, editing, sound design, scriptwriting, directing, and overall production processes through a well-structured program. Furthermore, students will gain hands-on experience through industry-focused workshops and projects, preparing them to work not only in Korea but also in international media industries.
